Different Perspectives-- How We See DLSU-D

Every freshmen has the opportunity to choose which college they will go to. Choosing a college is not an easy task, since a lot of considerations should be thought of before getting out of the house and filling out an application form. College life will have a big impact on a student's future; it can determine if he/she will succeed in his/her chosen field, whether he/she will get accepted on a job, or if he/she will live the life he/she really wanted.

Of all the colleges and universities in the Philippines, JSYK webmasters Erika, Kathy, Louie, Karen and Anne chose De La Salle University. Five students, five lives, five perspectives, one university. Let's see why they chose DLSU-D:

Erika: "I see DLSU-D as a successful university attracting students to its uniqueness. I see myself graduating from this university with life-changing moments to cherish. This university will change my life into something better. DLSU-D gave me the opportunity to create bonds and relationships that will last a lifetime. DLSU-D will spark the change in me and others as well."
Kathy: "Here at DLSU-D, I feel comfortable inside the campus due to its environment, people around me and its great facilities."
Louie: "DLSU-D made me really happy. I enjoy studying here and I feel safe here. I am in the right university!"
Karen: "I did plan to study here in DLSUD since my elementary years... Mainly because it's just 10-minutes away from our house. But I never really expected that I would enjoy my stay here. College life became more exciting. I learned new stuff, met a wonderful bunch of people, and realized what I really wanted to be in life. I am a proud Lasallian!"
Anne: "Everything I desire for a university to have is all here at DLSU-D! I’ll not ask for more. It does provide students high quality education, excellent professors and outstanding learning devices and therefore makes DLSU-D close to perfection. I believe that this university will help me unleash the highest potentials in me. Definitely to give their best to impart all the knowledge I need to excel in this field."

We also asked "What do you think about the future of DLSU-D?"

Erika: "I see more transfer students attending DLSU-D. This university will someday be one of the top schools in the world. Many foreign students will come here in the Philippines just to study here in DLSU-D."
Kathy: "I see DLSU-D in the future as a more advanced university. The students population will grow and the university will also reach its goal of planting one million trees."
Louie: "DLSU-D will turn into a better and bigger university."
Karen: "DLSU-D will continue to improve its facilities and turn into a greener university. In the near future, more students will come and DLSU-D will continue to deliver quality education to students that will help them in real life."
Anne: "I hope DLSU-D will continue to equip Lasallians the knowledge, skills and right attitudes that they must obtain to achieve their success. Continuing teaching minds, touching hearts, transforming lives.
I hope nothing but the best for my alma mater. Animo La Salle!"

What makes De La Salle University-Dasmarinas unique?

We asked the webmasters of JSYK to complete the sentence "DLSU-D is unique because..."
Anne: "...of its great, fantastic, unmatched (well name all the adjectives you can think of) environment! DLSU-D is indeed one in a million! The best eco-friendly campus I’ve ever been! Trees everywhere. . . GREEN.. . GREEN…GREEN! I feel like the air I breathe when I enter and leave the university is as pure as angels."

Erika: "...of it's campus. Its environment. Its students. Its people. and, its values. I have never been to a University that has a great campus such as this. The lake, the trees, the plants, all of which are being cared for and sometimes seem like a different world. To compare the campus and the outside streets, this University is peaceful. It does not go with the flow of the outside pollution, its not hectic or dirty, it is very much B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. :)"

Louie: "It has beautifully-constructed buildings, has many trees, and it has its own lake inside the campus."

Karen: " DLSUD is one of the greenest campuses in the Philippines. This is the only university I know that has its own National Bookstore, botanical garden, and museum. Aside from its beautiful surroundings, DLSUD also offers quality education that equips students the necessary knowledge and skills that they can use in real life"

Kathy: "It is Green!!! Green all over! You can breathe fresh and clean air! The most environmental friendly campus that I ever know. Prestigious, awesome and breathtaking campus that you will ever find not only in Cavite but in the country."
